A hágai csúcsértekezlet: egy erősebb, igazságosabb, ellenállóbb Szövetség születése
Absztrakt
Az Észak-atlanti Szerződés Szervezete Washingtonban ünnepelte alapításának 75. évfordulóját. Néhány hónappal később, 2024. október 1-jén új korszak kezdődött a NATO életében, Mark Rutte főtitkár váltotta a Szövetség élén álló Jens Stoltenberget. Az új főtitkár vezetése mellett új kihívások is jellemezték az elmúlt évet. Az amerikai elnökválasztás után Mark Rutte pragmatikus/reálpolitikusként a védelmi költségvetés növelésének élharcosa lett. A tanulmány áttekinti és értékeli a hágai csúcsértekezlethez vezető utat és a legfontosabb, a Szövetség jövőjét meghatározó döntéseket. A csúcsértekezlet célkitűzése egy erősebb, igazságosabb és ellenállóbb NATO kiépítése volt. A hágai csúcsértekezlet öt kérdésre összpontosított: a védelmi kiadások jelentős növelésére, az új védelmi befektetési tervre, a védelmi ipari bázis és termelés fokozására, a partnerségi kapcsolatok további erősítésére, elsősorban az ázsiai–csendes-óceáni partnerekkel és az Európai Unióval, valamint Ukrajna folyamatos és hosszútávú támogatására.
