The Establishment of the Headquarters Multinational Division Centre and the Related Military Engineering Issues

Abstract

The Headquarters Multinational Division Centre (HQ MND-C), initiated by the Hungariangovernment, was established by three cooperating framework nations in order to close the gapat NATO’s eastern flank. No division-level command had no existed in the HungarianDefence Forces’ structure for a long time, and the Subject Matter Experts teams and staffshad also been disbanded. One of the main tasks of the HQ staff members is to re-establish thisspecial field of expertise of military arts. The MILENG staff of this HQ, based on the lessonsfrom the past, using the existing NATO standards, and focusing on present challenges, is tocreate and maintain the order of division-level MILENG tasks.
