Multi Domain Operations in Urban Environment

Abstract

The future most likely and most dangerous environment for NATO operations will be theurban environment. The urban environment, which includes three layers: the physical, theinformation and the human system, significantly modifies the principles of the emergingmulti-domain operations. The multi-domain NATO forces of the future will be ableto understand the urban environment and adapt quickly to the conflict, continuouslycoordinate cross-domain fires and gain an advantage over the adversary.
