The carbon footprint of the disaster relief
Abstract
Sustainable development is a complex and multidisciplinary research area of today’s science. The research of water security and climate change has a considerable history at the National University of Public Service (NKE). At the base of an earlier research workshop (Military Ecological Footprint Centre) Ludovika research group for the Footprint of Public Service and through this an international research capacity has been established, based on which NKE may be one of the acknowledged research places of national higher education. The conference held on 04 May 2017 pointed out the importance of measuring carbon dioxide emission (carbon footprint) at the level of professional orders of public service. This may even be one of the good state indicators of NKE in the future. The future plans include the establishment and operation of an excellence centre with the participation of an international research network.
