The relationship of the (strategic) communications and the war today

Abstract

In the framework of the Global War on Terror (GWOT) such kind of old-new solutions came to light, which were supposed to strengthen – or reverse, to weaken – the public acceptance (support) of the countering forces. As an example, the author gives an overview about the origin of strategic communication, with a special view, how the players of the so called ‘small war’ are focusing on the tele- and infocommunication tools.
