Abstract

In his essay the author provides a short overview on the evolution of mass communication introducing its social aspects, especially in relation with broadcasting events of terrorism. Analyzing real events he introduces interconnections between terror acts and news coverage of them. As part of this he underlines the
media’s role, duties and responsibility while informing the audience on violence inflicted by terrorists. In the summary the originator stresses the importance of the media while reporting on terrorism and takes stance on questions raised in the second part of his work. Drawing conclusions he sets apart points of context between terrorists, political actors and factors of mass communication.
