Abstract
The authors of the article deal with János Pénzes’s romantic life, military cadet, officer, a mountain infantry second lieutenant, prisoner of war, blue-collar worker, actor, sceneshifter, assistant director, director, radioman, TV producer, writer and poet. On May 20, 2006 in the Hungarian Centre’s Social Club, Melbourne His Excellency Ambassador Lajos Fodor handed over to János Pénzes off duty mountain infantry second lieutenant the Golden Class of the Golden Age and the Cavalier of the Hungarian Culture Awards. On the event the laureate was accompanied by his friends, comrades and followers.
