Abstract

The author of the article deals with Tibor Vajay’s life, military cadet, infantry second lieutenant, military poet and writer. As a consequence of the Trianon treaty the Vajay family moved from Nagybánya (Baia Mare) to Debrecen, where the creation of the new existence was hard. His fate was interconnected with his brother a number of occasions; during the entrance exams to the Royal Hungarian Ludovika Defense Academy, during the academic years, they were inaugurated at the same time to second lieutenant, during their first officer’s assignment, and as prisoners’ of war in the Demsen camp. After the
captivity Tibor worked together with his older brother László. He wrote his first poems in May 2002, in 2006 he published a magnificent book on “Traditions of the spirituality of the Hungarian Royal Army”. His family and the Royal Hungarian Ludovika Defense Academy gave him insuperable power, unbreakable will, and uncompromising personality.
