Abstract
Between the First and Second World War military educational institutions, among other the Bolyai János Military Engineering Academy provided solid foundation to value-based education and training and in the formation of cadets’ mentality. The author of the article deals with Tivadar Palágyi’s life and activity, military cadet, a second lieutenant engineer,chemical engineer, scientific worker, researcher and patent attorney.
