Actual tasks in disaster management

Abstract

The author presented his lecture in the Cultural House of Hungarian Home Defence Forces in the scientific, educational lecture series of the Hungarian Society of Military Science and the University of Omniscience with the title of “Actual tasks of the disaster management " in 11 October 2012. As a member of the Internal Affairs Section of the Society of Military Science and a lecturer of the Disaster Management Institute of National University of Public Service the author tried to give an overview about the last 2 years changes of the Hungarian disaster management, the most important moments of actual task of the modernization of their organization, functions and management system. It can be said that in the basis of the practical experience the changes of last 12 years were necessary and now disaster management renewed, contributed to this the legal basis in accordance with this Basic Law, disaster management act of the 2011. The effective performance of disaster management system at a higher level contributes to public safety and the protection of the lives and material goods of the Hungary’s population.
