Relationship of the civil-military cooperation, psychological operations and the cultural anthropology

Abstract

Nowadays in the course of planning and execution of peace supporting military tasks not only the classic military aspects are taken into account but also the civilian environment of the operational area-within also the knowledge of local cultural characteristics- has an increased emphasis. The common feature of the civilian-military cooperation -henceforward CIMIC- and the psychological operation -henceforward PSYOPS- in order to achieve military goals is the
ability on the impact on the civilian persons, which is indispensable for peace support operations to succeed.
