NATO partnership relations review
Abstract
The article gives us an overview of different NATO partner relations from the end of the Cold War until today. NATO adopted in April 2011 a new - Berlin Partnership Package - more efficient and flexible partnership policy. The new partnership policy offers tools for existing and potential partners to enable themselves to shape relations with the Alliance. The new partnership policy serve multiple functions, including supporting NATO’s operations, enhancing international security, preparing states for membership and defending liberal democratic values. The Alliance can work with any state located on any continent or region of the world in order to strengthen international security and trust.
