Critical infrastructure protection and economic security

Abstract

Seaport security plays a vital role in the trade supply chain security's point of view. Wolrd Port Security Summit (WPSS 2012) was held in Hamburg with participation of port secuirty experts from four continents where the situation of the sector and the security improvements were analysed in details. In relation to their researches in Critical Infrastructure Protection, Members of the Defence Economy and Logistics Section of the Hungarian Association of Military Sciences participated in the conference and its follow-up study visits at the Port of Hamburg. This article summarises its results in brief.
