Abstract

The conference "Homeland defense, territorial defense and the volunteer army" organized by the Military Sciences Plenum of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences on May 19, 2012 discussed some fundamental trends - like the constraints and opportunities born from the current transformation of the strategic environment - that determine the present and future tasks of the Armed Forces.
