Abstract

The design and simulation of the flight paths of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) conducting flight missions like take-off or landing in urban areas, or selection of proper flight paths comprise an important and critical task. During UAV flight path design a designer must be driven by fligt safety regulations and norms, moreover, the successful flight missison also impacts the flight path design and the selection of the proper flight paths. The UAV flight path design and selection is an important issue if both the take-off and the landing maneouvres are conducted in limited spaces, and an extreme flight path selection is required. The objective of the author is to design the three-dimensional (3D) flight paths proper for multirotor and fixed-wing UAVs’ take-off and landing maneouvres both for manual and automated landings.
