Some Specific Features of the Research on the Indochina War

Abstract

The Indochina War shaped modern day France and its armed forces which is now the cornerstone of the European Union’s military capability. It is a well known fact that the understanding of the allied powers military history improves cooperation, but the research of the Indochina War adds further knowledge on the development of modern warfare. Despite these facts the conflict and its context is still under represented in Hungarian military history. This publication is about the specifics of the research and teaching of the Indochina war.
