Evaluation of international legal provisions on fire-water pollution prevention
Part I
Abstract
The industrial accidents involving dangerous substances occurred at dangerous establishments as a result of the generated contaminated fire-water can cause major environment consequences to the surface and ground waters. The authors of this series of articles will analyse and assess the international technical regulations and guidelines used for the planning and establishment of fire-water retention and storage facilities. In the first part of the study - after a short introduction of relevant literature - the authors will review the background of the development of international system of rules related to firewater pollution prevention. Afterwards they will review the international guidelines linked with the implementation of tasks of member states, authorities and operators.
