Abstract
Warfare ideology is as old as human civilization, and recently is an important and extended research field. Many works have been written with applying the points of view of just war theory in the near past, including analyses of justification in Indian epic literature, empire-building techniques in the Chinese antiquity, or the warfare ideology of Islam and Buddhism in Sri Lanka. Similar works in Hungarian history is not without attempts, but a comprehensive survey is yet awaited. Below I present a Hungarian warfare ideology, the just war theory, based on the Idea of the Holy Crown, which certainly should be part of a broad study.
