Abstract
The military consequences of the Trianon Peace Treaty, after World War I, were catastrophic for Hungary: totally excluding the possibility of an armed revision. That was why the Hungarian military leadership sought to re-establish the country’s armed potential. Between 1920 and 1938 such efforts were impeded by the Alliance’s control and the country’s economic hardships.
