Absztrakt
Cél: A globális biztonsági kockázatok kezelése, valamint a 21. század információtechnológiai fejlődése jelentős változásokat eredményezett a rendőrség és a társadalom kapcsolatában. E változások vizsgálata alapvető jelentőségű a rendészet jövőbeni szerepének meghatározásához. A szerző e megfontolásból vállalkozik Jan Terpstra, Nicholas R. Fyfe és Renze Salet „The Abstract Police: A conceptual exploration of unintended changes of police organisations” címmel 2019 decemberében, a Sage Journal online kiadásában publikált tanulmányának ismertetésére.
Megközelítés: A recenzió e tanulmány elsődleges forráselemzése, valamint a témában született nemzetközi szakirodalom feldolgozásával készült. A 2013-ban átalakított skót és holland rendőrség reformjának járulékos hatásaként a rendőrség belső viszonyai és a társadalom civil közösségéhez való kötődései is egyre formalizáltabbá, elvontabbá válnak.
Eredetiség: Azok a társadalmi és technológiai változások, amelyek az rendőrség absztrakttá válását elősegítették óhatatlanok, ezért kevéssé befolyásolhatók. Éppen ezért nem az a kérdés, hogy mit tehetünk ellene, hanem az, hogy miként tudunk alkalmazkodni a megváltozott helyzethez.
Megállapítások: A tanulmányban feltárt jelenség alapján a jövőben szükséges megvizsgálni, hogy az absztrakt rendőrség milyen módon jelentkezik a magyar rendészetben és milyen válaszlépések tehetők annak érdekében, hogy a rendőrség és a társadalom szoros kapcsolata megmaradjon.
