Absztrakt

In the course of historical anthropological investigations, we often encounter developmental disorders that affect the processes of the vertebrae. These anomalies are usually described in the anthropological characterization of cemeteries. Some serious changes also appear as case reports, but at the same time, there is very little grouping and organizing work. In our study, we aimed to provide a systematic overview of the developmental abnormalities occurring in the processes of the vertebrae. Underdevelopment and overdevelopment, fusion, duplication, cleft, the foramen appearing on the extension, and the extension separate from the body of the vertebra are described. Some of the disorders presented do not cause serious health problems, while others may be associated with severe pain and may have secondary pathological consequences
