Abstract

The skin lesions on the face of a child, usually causes a great alarm for both the parents and the doctors. The diagnostic checkup is not easy. The basic question is, if it is a benign, temporary phenomenon, or it is a condition requiring an urgent intervention. Histology helps in adult cases. In childhood, as the intervention is usually performed under anaesthesia with additional stress, bandages, wound-healing leaving permanent scars it is worth considering. The article summarizes the algorithms that should be followed during diagnostic steps at this age. We will rely on artificial intelligence, preparing algorithms for our diagnostic work in the future. This article particularly emphasises, that experience and intuition are essential for the perfect diagnosis.
