Mi ma az ifjúság?
A 2018-as püspöki szinódus ifjúságfogalma a társadalomtudományok tükrében
Absztrakt
This article aims to explore the concept of youth and the current characterisation of the age group 16 to 29 years on the basis of the 2018 Synod on Young People and Pope Francis’s post-synodal Apostolic Exhortation Christus Vivit. After examining the life-situation of young people, it brings into dialogue current results of the social sciences and Church understanding and aims to give a clearer and more elaborate picture of the young generation of our time as an indispensable aid in the process of pastoral planning. The conceptual framework of our analysis is given by the sociological idea of new silent generation and the psychological notion of emerging adulthood applied to the actual situation of Hungarian youth.
