Abstract
This study analyses the 1928 monograph by Béni Grosschmid, the most prominent figure in Hungarian civil jurisprudence. The study focuses on the concepts of movable and immovable property as they appear in the monograph, as well as on the inheritance of these assets and the conceptual differences between English and Hungarian law. It also examines the concept of property in medieval Hungarian and English law. Furthermore, it mentions the Austrian and German influences on Hungarian law in the 19th century.
