Episztemikus tekintély: a preempcionista felfogás pár problémája
Absztrakt
Linda Zagzebski nemrégiben amellett érvelt, hogy az episztemikus tekintélyek ítéletei nem pusztán különösen súlyos indokokként, hanem preemptív indokként kell szolgáljanak számunkra, azaz pusztán azon az alapon kell elfogadunk ezeket, hogy az episztemikus tekintélyek ezeket képviselik. Az írás két legfontosabb megállapítása a következő. Egy: a Zagzebski koncepciójának egy súlyos hiányosságára – nem kínál magyarázatot arra, hogy a vélelmezett tekintély orbitális tévedése miért kérdőjelezi meg episztemikus tekintély mivoltát – adott egyetlen megoldási javaslat hibás. Kettő: azon, a szakirodalom által jórészt elhanyagolt eseteket vizsgálva, amelyekben ténylegesen kommunikálunk az episztemikus tekintélyekkel, azonosíthatók olyan esetek, amelyekben nem szabad preempcióhoz folyamodnunk.
