A szimulációk validálásához pontosan ismert körülmények között végzett kísérletek szükségesek. A kutatás célja adatok szolgáltatása a szimulációk validálásához.
2025-04-04T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 https://ojs.mtak.hu/index.php/bkl/article/view/18618Critical Raw Materials Hungary Data Collection: Rare earth elements indications in Hungary2025-04-03T09:11:01+00:00Csilla Balassahirfor2000@gmail.comCsilla Patakyhirfor2000@gmail.comCsaba Tátraihirfor2000@gmail.comKrisztián Antalhirfor2000@gmail.comIván Gyeneshirfor2000@gmail.comSándor Szakállhirfor2000@gmail.comJános Földessyhirfor2000@gmail.com
The Natural Resources Research and Utilization (TEKH) Special College of the Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences and Engineering, University of Miskolc set a goal in 2023 to pay special attention to critical raw materials (CRM). In addition to presenting the individual raw material types, it is also important to describe the Hungarian CRM anomalies. This article is dedicated to presenting the various rare earth elements (REE) indications, regardless of the type of geological formation containing the anomaly. Our starting point was the CriticEl project running in the 2010s, but where possible, we expanded the previous results with new ones. Although volcanic formations can also carry exceptionally high concentrations (Mecsek phonolite, Velence beforsite), from an economic perspective, sedimentary deposits (Transdanubian bauxites, Mecsek coals)
are more promising.
2025-04-04T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 https://ojs.mtak.hu/index.php/bkl/article/view/18637Dr. Tárczy-Hornoch Antal was born 125 years ago Commemoration about the former, highly respected professor of the Department of Geodesy and Mine Surveying in Sopron2025-04-03T09:11:03+00:00István Havasihirfor2000@gmail.com
The aim of the commemoration, on the occasion of the anniversary of his birth, is to provide a detailed description of the entire career of academician dr. Antal Tárczy-Hornoch (the professor, the school founder, the scientific polymath, the excellent survey instrument developer, the professor who is highly respected in professional public life both in Hungary and abroad). In this regard, the compiled material will provide information about his life, his teaching and professional scientific work, and his extremely broad activities related to his special fields (mine surveying, geodesy, geophysics), which are highly evaluated abroad. He was the founder of the Hungarian geodetic and mine surveying school and the decisive initiator of starting geophysical education and research.
The first part of the study deals with the life of the scientist professor. In this regard, it is possible to know where he completed his higher education and what professional research topics he dealt with while obtaining his various scientific degrees. At the Department of Geodesy and Mine Surveying of the Sopron College, and later the University Faculty, he carried out his teachingand research activities as head of the department with great expertise, and even held the position of dean. He introduced the education of applied geophysics. For 33 years, he educated students; many of them later became outstanding professionals in Hungarian technical public life.
The second part of the compiled material presents the significant publication activity and scientific work of academician Antal Tárczy-Hornoch, including in more detail his articles published in this professional journal (Mining and Metallurgical Journal) in 3 groups; and in more detail the two articles dealing with the survey instrument-making activities of the department’s workshop in Sopron.
In the third part of this professional historical material, the professor’s positions in professional and scientific organizations, his active work related to the OMBKE Mine Surveying Specialist Group, and his professional, scientific and other recognitions can be known. Finally, in the last fourth part, some of the commemorative events related to his person arebriefly presented.
2025-04-04T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 https://ojs.mtak.hu/index.php/bkl/article/view/18638On the physical processes of rock cleavage2025-04-03T09:11:05+00:00István Omasztaomaszta1957@gmail.com
Nowadays, energy efficiency has become an important issue. We cannot give up on the extraction of rocks and mining, we must continue to look for ways to minimize energy consumption. The optimal design of the used cutting tools must be promoted by optimizing energy costs and the costs of wear and tear [3]. In this work, I want to describe the physical process taking place during rock splitting in a simple case using a quasi-static physical model. The dynamic description of the phenomenon [1] is not our goal now, so neither is the description of the stochastic property of the cutting force [2].
The determination of the cutting force and the knowledge of the energetic characteristics are of central importance, based on this it is possible to improve the tools used for cutting rocks [3]. As in my previous article [4], I set out to provide a complete physical description of the splitting task [5] discussed by Evans: from the penetration of the tool, through the occurrence of the fracture, to the splitting of the stone chips.
2025-04-04T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 https://ojs.mtak.hu/index.php/bkl/article/view/18639Posters in BKL – From the 2024 crop of the MFK Faculty and the TEKH College2025-04-03T08:24:47+00:00Csilla Balassacsilla.balassa@uni-miskolc.huFerenc Kristálycsilla.balassa@uni-miskolc.huNorbert Némethcsilla.balassa@uni-miskolc.hu
The poster is a short-lived pubication. It appears at conferences and symposiums, and after a brief lifespan of one or two days, it often fades into everyday obscurity and is largely forgotten. Only a few of them become later as journal article or book chapter. However, they provide a snapshot of the daily work within research groups.
Throughout the year, the Bányászati és Kohászati Lapok (Mining and Metallurgical Journal) and the TEKH Student College jointly provide greater visibility to posters presented by both Hungarian and international students studying technical earth and environmental sciences at various levels (BSc, MSc, PhD). These posters cover topics that may be of particular interest to many readers.
In this and upcoming issues of BKL, we will introduce selected posters. This will be done by first providing information about the authors and their research groups, followed by a brief summary of the topic presented in the poster. The authors will also include a few relatable, real-life examples or analogies—ones that might not necessarily withstand strict scientific scrutiny but help illustrate the subject matter in a more engaging way.
After the introduction, the full poster will follow (in the electronic version, it will be available in full resolution via a reference link), allowing readers to download, browse, and cite it properly.
We hope that this initiative benefits everyone involved by increasing the visibility of the authors and their faculties while also keeping readers informed and up to date in their respective fields.

The poster also available at the REAL repository: https://real.mtak.hu/id/eprint/217463
2025-04-04T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025
